100% Tobacco-Free NC Health Departments
The EnTER Program is currently working on a follow-up survey to the health department tobacco use policy research conducted in 2003. This work is in collaboration with the NC Association of Local Health Directors and the NC Tobacco Prevention & Control Branch. NC health departments and departments of social services were except from the state smoking law in July 2005. This research will assess the status of health department policies since the enactment of the new legislation. Results of the original 2003 study have been published and are available online.
